$1.5M IARPA Grant Awarded to Develop Algorithm-Based Software Systems for Photorealistic 3D Site Modeling

Mechanical engineering professors Brendan Englot and Hamid Jafarnejad Sani have been awarded $1,507,358 to develop algorithm-based software systems that create photorealistic 3D site models from a limited source of images taken at varying altitudes. Englot is also director of the Stevens Institute for Artificial Intelligence.

Stevens Researcher Nick Parziale Receives $952K Grant to Study Hypersonic Turbulence

Associate Professor Nick Parziale envisions a world where a flight from L.A. to Tokyo could be completed in just an hour, and has devoted his research to supporting that spirit of revolutionary advances in aerodynamics. He recently received a four-year, $952K Office of Naval Research award for his project, “Turbulence Quantities in Supersonic and Hypersonic Flows.”
